Tell Me If Im Wrong

Im writing this to let you know how happy I am. I’ve just purchased my first DSLR… Canon 550D. From now on, you will refer to me as “that happy guy”. I bought a 50mm f/1.8 prime and ill soon get a 18-200 as I need it. I’ll tell ya now. Im not wasting my money. I considered the 7D and even the MkII but imo the 7D is just an oversized T2i and the MkII is more or less identical in terms of video quality.

A smart guy once told me (my uncle, and hold on, Yone the super-teacher from uni also said this, so) two smart guys once told me (once each) that I should buy the equipment to match the purpose of what im doing, i.e. Video camera for video, Slr for stills, and maybe a pistol for suicide. I’ve decided to use the money I saved on an entry level dslr to help fund more lenses. Im under the impression lighting and a range of lenses will go further than an overpriced dslr body.

Tell me if im wrong..
